Mineral Rights Superintendent [South Africa]


 

The incumbent in this role will be responsible for rendering a professional and enabling regulatory compliance support role to the business.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Securing and maintaining rights of the company.
  • Maintaining legal repository of rights.
  • Conducting mineral rights meetings, internally and externally.
  • Lodging of objections and appeals.
  • Assisting with due diligence investigations and review of reports.
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory changes and minimize the legal risk for the company.
  • Reviewing of the Mining Works Programme, Prospecting Work Programmes, Social and Labour Plans as well as Environmental Impact Assessment applications to ensure alignment and regulatory compliance prior to lodgement of applications.

About you:

To be considered for this role, you will meet the following minimum requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Law Degree.
  • Post legal qualification and training will be advantageous.
  • Admission as an Attorney will be advantageous.
Minimum Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience at a C-Upper level in the mining, government regulation, legal practice or consulting environment.Behavioural Competencies:
