As the Material Handler / Forklift Operator you will be in close communication with various departments within the organization and will help coordinate the efficient flow of materials and finished goods into and out of the production process.
Afternoon Shift - Monday to Thursday - 3:15pm - 1:45am
$3.00 per hour shift premium applies!
Responsibilities may include:
- Safely & continuously operate & perform daily inspection of a propane counterbalance forklift
- Review paperwork to locate parts, transporting to departments throughout the plant
- Moving job material into work bays and stocking shelves at proper times
- Moving finished components to next process location
- Organize and maintain storage areas within the plant and outside

- Load, unload, move and pack products and materials by hand or with material handling equipment (Forklift, Overhead Crane)
- Ensures that all products are moved and stored in a safe manner
- Manage priorities and tasks efficiently, with an ever-changing schedule
- Follow written directions; interpret schedules, shipping documents and drawings
- Pick parts and put away parts
- Cycle counting, reconcile calculated inventories with physical counts
- Help keep shop and warehouse clean and organized
- Communicate with project managers and supervisors to understand production schedules
- Inspect goods to ensure proper quality and quantity
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Overhead crane and forklift experience
- Effective organization, problem solving and time management skills
- Keen attention to detail, an outstanding work ethic and the ability to multi-task
- Physically able to handle demands of tasks – walking, bending, reaching
- Heavy lifting may be required (up to 50lbs), gripping, pinching, twisting
- Physical job, required to be on your feet all day, moving around consistently
- Understanding of MRP/ERP systems are an asset
- Previous experience with parts in an industrial setting is an asset
